About
* My first book is just out! It's entitled Jews in the Early Modern English Imagination - A Scattered Nation and it's published by Ashgate in January 2012 in the series Transculturalisms 1400-1700. For more information see

* My new research project focuses on English travellers to the Ottoman Empire in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and their perceptions of peoples living under Ottoman rule. I'm currently editing a theme issue for Journeys - The International Journal of Travel & Travel Writing entitled 'Shaping Strangers in early modern English Travel Writing' (together with Chloë Houston), writing a new monograph and articles.
* My research and teaching interests include: early modern ethnic and religious identities, Jewish-Christian relations, history of the body, cultural history of travel and cross-cultural encounters.
