Jussi Turtiainen is a researcher at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and a doctoral student at the University of Helsinki. His research interests include social history, body, nationalism and working life studies. Turtiainen has written articles on various subjects in the scientific journals and chapters in the edited books. He is currently finishing an article on the metal workers' masculinity.

Recently I have worked on the research project "Crafting an ideal employee: The emergence of the 'mentalised' employee and well-being at work in the sciences, organisations, and policy making” which is funded by Academy of Finland (years 2009-2011).
