About

My main research topics are in hunter-gatherer archaeology, lithic technology, technological organization, experimental archaeology, Mesolithic archaeology and in the archaeology of northern areas in general.

Over the years I have been involved in several research projects, including the Interfaces in the Mesolithic Stone Age of Eastern Fennoscandia Project, the Báišduottar – Paistunturi Project, and the Postglacial Human Dispersal in the North (a case from eastern Finland) Project. I am also a member of the Nordic Blade Technology Network and the vice-chairman of the Archaeological Society of Finland.

I am an independent researcher affiliated with the University of Helsinki department of Archaeology and currently finalizing my PhD dissertation on the Late Mesolithic lithic technology and mobility in northernmost Fennoscandia.
